The Great Wave off Kanagawa x Dali
Excellent
L'œuvre en bref
In this surreal metamorphosis, The Great Wave off Kanagawa twists and stretches beyond reality, transporting Hokusai's iconic work into a disturbing dream world. The sea, in perpetual distortion, seems to defy the laws of physics, its crest fraying into ethereal wisps that rise towards an unreal sky. Liquid forms float in the air, while soft clocks and fragments of boats appear frozen in an uncertain temporality. Foam takes on an organic appearance, merging with the atmosphere in a dialogue between solid and liquid. Mount Fuji, for its part, rises out of a dreamy desert landscape, reinforcing the sensation of a world suspended between the tangible and illusion. This revisited wave, in which time stretches and space curves, illustrates the hypnotic power of Dalinian surrealism, transforming Hokusai's frozen moment into a moving, elusive vision.Comparez avec l’original
